Designed to foster imagination, creativity, and social development in young children using dramatic play. Our dynamic drama class goes beyond traditional playtime, offering a unique blend of storytelling, role-playing, and interactive games designed to spark their imagination and build confidence. Our curriculum seamlessly integrates educational elements, helping your child develop essential skills such as language, communication, and social interaction. Through the magic of drama, they'll learn to express themselves in a supportive and engaging environment. This low-pressure environment will ease a child into comfortably being in front of people and expressing ideas to a group. We will explore group problem solving, being seen, and heard in front of an audience, areas of the stage, and character development. Some theatre exercises and activities are used each session, but teachers are sensitive to the needs of returning students, so these classes are appropriate to take several times to further hone developing skills. The class aims to create a joyful and supportive environment where children can develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills through imaginative play.

We will record the end-of-semester “sharing” and send parent’s the video link.

All students must be able to use the bathroom completely by themselves (which means we will not remove clothes, re-dress nor enter the bathroom stall with your child to assist with wiping). Please be certain your child is in clothes that are simple for him/her to remove for potty breaks.  SCCT Teachers/Assistants will not change diapers. We have discovered that very young kids who may not be familiar with public restrooms, benefit from their parent showing them how our self-flushing toilets work.

**We DO meet when Greenville County Schools are off for Teacher Workdays or Holidays, but will skip all classes during the Greenville County Schools Spring Break week, March 18-22, 2024.**
