The focus is on introducing fundamental movements and fostering a love for dance. The class typically begins with a warm-up, followed by simple choreography that enhances coordination and rhythm. Teachers often incorporate imaginative games and props to make the learning experience engaging. Emphasis is placed on creativity, expression, and building a positive and supportive environment for the young dancers.

An excellent introduction to musical theatre dance, incorporating creative movement and promoting body awareness and coordination, strength, and flexibility, articulation of feet, motor and cognitive skills. Our goal is to facilitate growth of the student's inspiration to dance, move, be creative, while instilling appropriate postures and movement patterns.

Dance shoes are not required but they are much easier to move in than standard tennis shoes. Basic jazz slip-on shoes tend to cost between $10-$25 – sometimes they are even available used for less. Hair must be pulled back and fastened off the face.

**We DO meet when Greenville County Schools are off for Teacher Workdays or Holidays, but will skip all classes during the Greenville County Schools Spring Break week, March 18-22, 2024.**
