Learn about ALL the technical elements that are needed for a production! This hands-on class will not only delve into design and how the set, lights, props, costumes and sound support the overall production, but also create much of the most memorable “magic” of theatre. A GREAT class if working behind the scenes on a show might appeal to you! Students will get an inside look at the whole process of design, from concept to build, then will construct & paint scenic elements for one of our productions and really see how it all comes together. Great for students who prefer NOT to be in front of an audience.
But if performing is your focus, this class will teach you what you should know about the technical elements that impact a performance (all performers should be well-rounded and have an understanding and respect for the technical and design elements in a show).
Students must wear closed-toe shoes for safety, have long hair tied back and wear clothes that can get dirty.
There will be no “sharing” video for parents.
**We DO meet when Greenville County Schools are off for Teacher Workdays or Holidays, but will skip Tuesday classes for Halloween, Oct 31.**
