Need a fun place to spend a part day? Come play with us (especially if Mom or Dad need to go to work and older siblings have started school). Games and activities are designed to keep students engaged and entertained with exercises and activities used in our regular session classes exploring group problem solving, being seen and heard in front of an audience, areas of the stage, character development, etc. These classes are meant to engage the child in a group environment, as well as to allow the parent some guilt free time to get their own work/appointments done. These classes are more general and aren’t themed per day, but will allow for a range of ages/interests and may also include craft time. Designed to keep excited kids active and having fun before preschools get underway. There will be no “sharing” video for parents, just a bunch of socialization, exploration and interaction for the younger set.
All students must be able to use the bathroom completely by themselves as needed. SCCT Teachers/Assistants will not change diapers or assist inside the bathroom stall with wiping or dressing. We have discovered that very young kids who may not be familiar with public restrooms, benefit from their parent showing them, on the first day, how our self-flushing toilets work.
Students are asked to wear clothing they are comfortable moving in, shoes that stay on their feet, and to bring a water bottle labelled with their name. Please also provide a nut-free snack & a beverage for your child.
GENERAL SCCT CLASS INFO - Games, stories, music, and poetry inspire character exploration, teamwork, and imagination. This low-pressure environment will ease a child into comfortably being in front of people and expressing ideas to a group. Each theme will present different sources for inspiration, but all will include a variety of activities to keep students engaged and working together. Games, activities, and songs will be based on the camp theme while exploring group problem solving, being seen and heard in front of an audience, areas of the stage, and character development.
Fantastic for group interaction and socialization while keeping students engaged creating the story and exploring all the possibilities in our imaginations. There will be music and dancing too to help get those wiggles out, plus some kind of craft they get to take home. A great way to spend the morning, making new friends and having a blast!
